PerformanceThe bright and vibrant VFD display looks amazing while still being very clear and easy to understand. The fan RPM is displayed along with temperature reading from your selected temperature sensor. The RPM displayed can be rotated between the 3 fan control channels. The proven to be accurate temperature sensor reading can also be changed from temperature sensor 1 to 2 to 3 so that you can easily view the temperature reading from each of the 3 connected temperature sensors in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit.
The fan control worked well for all of the individual fans connected allowing them to achieve their maximum RPM or zero RPM when desired. When using a 3-pin fan splitter, we also found that our tested pair of fans worked fine. The ability to completely stop the fan functioning is very useful and as expected, helped lower our system’s acoustic output drastically.
The alarm functions correctly as we found out when the temperature sensor detected a rise in heat due to one of our fan’s RPM hitting zero unintentionally.
We tested the ability to turn off the VFD display and are happy to report that it functioned correctly. This is a very useful feature for anybody who sleeps directly in the line of sight of their computer so that the bright display won’t act as an annoyance.
