PerformanceWe keep the tests fairly simple, using a simple program but by repeating twice we obtain a good average. These results allow us to compare freely as their are the minimum amount of external factors affecting the results.
The performance of this Akasa Flexstor Disklink is certainly not compromising, while we are using a fast SSD we did see on USB 3.0 some very impressive results. We also found that this did achieve a better average than the recently reviewed Akasa Noir Enclosure which while it is also USB 3.0 didn’t produce quite as good results.
Of course while the USB 3.0 read speeds of nearly 200 MB/s are very impressive the Flexstor Disklink is still rather slow on USB 2.0, although this is expected it just shows how much of an improvement USB 3.0 can offer.
