Taking the product out of the outer packaging we find a few things inside.
These include 4 mounting screws, which we would expect with all devices like this.
As well as a secondary White fascia, similar to the Akasa Baymaster S product we recently reviewed – as usual it is of an off white colour.
Underneath this we found a User manual, much like any other.
Taking a look at the product itself we see a similar site to any internal card reader, or even any optical device. This device does however only have one cable which is pre-attached.
From the other side we see have an even more boring view, but at least this won’t be seen under normal circumstances.
As you would expect the device isn’t exactly thick, but is marginally thicker than your standard 3.5″ hard drive – although nothing compared to a 5.25″ optical drive.
As this is an internal card reader it has to be able to communicate with your computer via some interface, and as such they have opted for the standard USB header, which does mean no ultra fast USB 3.0 speeds.
The front of the product is probably the most important, and it does look very similar to many other Akasa products. This card reader has 6 different slots which enables it to support at least 28 different memory cards.

Installation as you would expect is very easy indeed and is just a case of sliding it in, screwing it in (or using the cases 3.5″ bay locking mechanisms’) and then plugging the USB header cable in.
