Akasa Internal Cardreader with Bluetooth Review

Simply put, this device does work, it is fairly simple after all. I was certainly impressed that the Bluetooth did work as easily as it is meant to, which is partly down to Windows 7 and partly down to this Akasa device. It isn’t however going to revolutionise your computer or help your conquer world domination.
This product is a device however that can add a lot of functionality to your computer, and on paper it does certainly look good. On top of that in certain areas it does perform well, Bluetooth worked easily, and all necessary drivers installed with no hassle at all. It also uses a USB header cable instead of taking up a precious USB slot. That said, Bluetooth is certainly a slow transfer media now a days and there are lots of better alternatives, but unfortunately these haven’t been implemented into the phones yet so we are stuck with the good old Bluetooth.
At a price of £13.78 from Scan.co.uk it certainly salvages a bit back as you really can’t knock it for that price.
Overall this is a very cheap and functional addition to your computer, which while it doesn’t look amazing will certainly look at home in most cases. The performance is also as good as you are going to get for this kind of device, and as such at this price it is something we expect lots of you will think that this could be a useful purchase and for that reason we are awarding it a Silver Award.
