Akasa has been showing off its newest series of power supplies at Computex 2012, the Venom Power XT PSU series. The Akasa Venom Power XT’s will feature 80 PLUS Gold certification and capacities of 850W and 1000W for the initial launch. Both power supplies will be cooled by the Akasa Viper 135mm Fan. There is a dual 12v rail design, the usual spectrum of protection mechanisms (such as OCP, OVP, UVP etc) and active Power Factor Correction (PFC). The PSUs are partially modular, with a few essential cables such as 24-pin ATX, 4-pin / 8-pin ATX/EPS, and a pair of PCI-Express connectors being fixed. Additional pairs of PCI-Express power connectors, SATA, Molex, and floppy connectors will be modular.
