Known for putting together outstanding solid form factor desktops, Aleutia has just unveiled one of its latest and most impressive projects so far, namely a fanless Core Skylake NUC derived desktop. What makes this particular desktop stand out apart from its fanless design is the fact that its case was created using a series of stacked metal plates. At the front, the case comes with a simple power button, a pair of USB 3.0 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. As for the core of the case, it was put together using copper plates, and as you have probably guessed already, these plates serve as a heatsink for the Core “Skylake” chip that powers the rig. Speaking of CPUs, available options include the Core i3-6100U and the Core i5-6260U, both of which feature TDP ratings of just 15W.
When it comes to memory, this desktop can be equipped with 8 GB, 16 GB, and 32 GB dual-channel DDR4, while the available storage options include 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB SSDs. Depending on each individual configuration, prices start at 599 GBP for the most basic model, and they can go all the way up to 1,099 GBP for the most powerful version. Considering the small form factor and the fanless design that guarantees silence, the price tag is probably justified.
