Feral Interactive is responsible for a number of excellent Linux ports including XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Company of Heroes 2 and Shadow of Mordor. Their latest venture revolves around the highly-regarded tense horror game, Alien Isolation. The company has released the minimum and recommended specification for Linux users which we have listed below for your convenience:
Minimum Requirements:
Recommended Requirements:
*Requires an NVIDIA 600 series or better running driver version 355.11 or better
**Requires an NVIDIA 700 series or better running driver version 355.11 or better
Intel and AMD GPUs are not supported.
A Steam account is required.
Strangely enough, it seems an NVIDIA GPU is required to play the game on Linux. However, these specifications are subject to change and I highly doubt this will be the case on release. AMD users should be able to access this title without any issues and I would argue the port is only certified on NVIDIA cards at this time. Overall, Alien Isolation isn’t too demanding and the Windows version ran flawlessly on virtually every configuration.
