Alienware Has Unveiled a New 500 Hz IPS Gaming Monitor

If you’re looking for the ultimate in refresh rate technology, Alienware has introduced a new 500 Hz gaming monitor enabling blazing fast frame-rates in competitive gaming.

Alienware 500Hz AW2524HF

The AW2524HF is a 24.5″ 1080p gaming monitor that uses an IPS panel capable of a massive 500Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms GTG response time. This high refresh rate is also paired up with NVIDIA G-Sync technology to ensure a tear-free experience allowing for intoxicatingly fluid motion. Alongside the high refresh rate is a good panel that provides excellent colour accuracy with a 99% coverage of the sRGB colour space as well as DisplayHDR 400 certification. The IPS panel also allows for solid viewing angles with consistent colour coverage and vibrant visuals no matter where you’re viewing from. The display also features low blue-light technology for more long-lasting comfort.

Additional Features

The monitor also comes with plenty of connectivity options including two HDMI ports, a DisplayPort, four USB 3.2 ports, audio and headphones ports, a diagnostic port and a joystick for controlling the menus. The included stand is adjustable with a height adjustment of 4.3″, Tilt of -5°/+21° and swivel of -20°/+20° plus a 100×100 Vesa mount allows for alternative stands.

Ideal For Competitive Gaming

A high refresh rate goes hand in hand with competitive games such as CS:GO, and Valorant of PUBG and can aid strongly in having optimal reaction times and coming on top of your enemies. Achieving high frame rates though does require a high-end computer and few games will actually be able to run that high even on an RTX 4090 so this monitor is at least in my opinion, very niche.

Price and Availability

If this fast monitor is a niche that you’re interested in, the AW2524H is available on dell.com for $699.99, which is honestly cheaper than I would’ve expected from Dell.
