Alpenföhn is well-known for their great cooling products and they’ve expanded their lineup with the new Matterhorn Black and White Edition CPU coolers. The new coolers come with the WingBoost 2 Premium fans and will be available as fully black or white units to suit your setup the best. Especially the white one looks great and it’s nice to see more and more white hardware parts getting released, it’s a nice break from just black and metal.
This tower-type cooler features a monolithic fin-stack with trapezoid fins. It has six 6mm copper heat pipes painted to fit the rest of the unit in either black or white. It measures 138 x 100 x 158 mm and the heatsink weighs a little over 1 kg without the fans attached. The 4-pin PWM WingBoost 2 fans come in a 120mm size and spin between 500 and 1500 RPM. They can push up to 106 m³/h of air with a noise output ranging between 18 and 20 dBA.
The new cooler is compatible with pretty much any platform and socket ranging from Intel’s 775, 115x, 1366, 2011, and 2011-v3 to AMD’s AM2, AM3, FM1, and newer generations.
The Alpenföhn Matterhorn Black and White Edition CPU coolers are expected in stock at the end of April for a price of 52.90 at Caseking.
