Alpenfohn Fohn 120 and 140 WingBoost Fan Reviews

Included with the Alpenfohn 120 WingBoost is a fan speed reduction adapter, for 5 and 7 volts, a fan extension cable and four anti-vibration fan mounts. Note that there are no fan screws included.
The fans use an entirely rubber outer design with only the blades and circular frame being rigid plastic.
The front features a lucky clover design on the fan bearing.
Conveniently the fans have arrows to mark the direction of flow. They are also the standard 25mm thickness as expected.
The 140 WingBoost has a fan speed reducer cable, for 7 volts, an fan extension cable, anti-vibration mounts and importantly again – no fan screws are included. This is because Alpenfohn want you to mount the fans in a way that will minimise vibrations.
The cables are coloured black all the way up to the bearing, something we are seeing increasingly becoming the norm these days as consumers come to expect more from their products.
The 140 WingBoost features a slightly different blade design with notches on the fan blades. This may or may not have implications for performance, testing will surely show us.
