If you’re looking for a reliable twin-tower type CPU cooler, then you might want to have a closer look at this offering from Alpenfohn. What we have here is an aluminium fin twin-stack cooler that features a rather interesting design, especially as far as the fins are concerned. The two stacks of aluminium fins are angled in opposite directions of each other in order to increase overall heat dissipation while improving air turbulence. The base of the cooler was created using nickel-polished copper, and it is complemented by nickel-plated copper heat pipes that measure in at 6 mm in thickness.

The fin stacks are ventilated by a pair of 140 mm fans, which can be installed easily using a push-pull system. Going into details, we can tell you that these fans spin up at speeds ranging from 300 to 1,400 RPM, and that they can push up to 123 m³/h while generating between 8 to 26.8 dBA.

What’s really impressive about the Olymp dual fin-stack cooler is that it flaunts a cooling capacity of 340W, which means that it can go toe-to-toe with numerous liquid-based cooling solutions. Obviously, it is fully compatible with numerous CPU sockets, including AM3+, FM2+, LGA115x and LGA2011v3. Even though Alpenfohn has not unveiled any specific details regarding pricing at the time of writing, we do know that the cooler weighs in at 1.2 kg and that it measures 165 mm x 151 mm x 150 mm. The package also includes a tube of Alpenfohn Permafrost TIM, which is always nice to have.
