Alphacool Announces XPX Eisblock

Alphacool has announced their latest XPX Eisblock, an upgrade to the existing NexXos XP3 built and redesigned from the ground up. In comparison to the older design, Alphacool has improved the fin structure down to 0.2mm and has increased the fin count to 81 fins. The increased surface area allows for more fluid to flow through. Also new to Alphacool’s XPX Eisblock design is an innovative new “ramp” which eliminates water-flow turbulence over the cooling fins for a more uniform fluid distribution over the fin area. This improvement also negates pump pressure concerns when it comes to the cooler performance, allowing for a powered down pump to still effectively cool if lower noise is wanted.

The surface contact area has also been improved compared to the NexXos XP3, now having a much larger 34 x 32mm surface area. For installation ease, the bracket has also been simplified so that it can easily be swapped out depending on the motherboard installation and cane be color-coordinated with various alternative insets.

The XPX Eisblock measures 65 x 65 x 30mm using a pair of G1/4″ threads and is available in either deep sandblasted black or silver.  The Alphacool XPX Eisblock is compatible with Intel motherboard sockets from LGA775 through 2011-3 and is also compatible with AMD motherboards from AM2 through the upcoming AM4 and also FM1/FM2+ APU sockets. Price is set at €69.95 (includes VAT).
