Alphacool seeks to break the monotony of current LED lighting offerings in the market by launching the Alphacool Eislicht LED strip. Unlike typical LED strips with pointed, individual LED lights, the Alphacool Eislicht is an elegant solution with an evenly distributed LED illumination, which took cues from TV panel backlighting technology. Unlike other LED lighting solutions for the PC, the Alphacool Eislicht does not rely on diffusion to uniformly distribute the light so it maintains its brightness.
Mounting them is quite convenient as well since it has magnetic screws that easily attaches inside any steel case. For enclosures that are of acrylic or aluminum construction, Alphacool also provides double sided adhesive strips so it can be installed even horizontally on a panel.
The Eislicht LED light measures 312 x 39 x 7 millimeters and uses a 300mm long standard 3-pin fan header connector which can be plugged into any motherboard header or directly to a power supply via adapter for power. Current color options include green, blue, red and white. All are available with a black frame and matching sleeved connector. The manufacturer suggested retail price is €24.99 via Aquatuning.de in Europe and it is also available in North America for $26.25 via ModmyMods.com
