With AMD’s new Ryzen 7000 processors set for launch on August 29th, we’ve already seen a number of manufacturers confirm compatibility for the new upcoming AM5 socket. In fact, by and large, it does seem that if a CPU cooler offers AM4 compatibility, it will probably be alright to work with AM5. And possibly, in many instances, without the need for any kind of specific kit.
In something that certainly seems to add to this, therefore, following an official announcement, Alphacool has confirmed that all of its current series of CPU cooling solutions (including both custom loop CPU water blocks and AIO liquid coolers) are all ready and set to go for Ryzen 7000!
As part of the announcement, Alphacool has said:
“Just in time for the launch of the new AMD processors in September 2022, we can announce that all CPU coolers and All-in-One solutions in the Alphacool product range are compatible with AMD’s AM5 socket. The required mounting kit is included with all coolers and AIOs and enables the new Ryzen 7000 Series processors to be water-cooled with Alphacool products right from the start.”
So, presuming you already own an Alphacool CPU cooler (of any relatively modern description) the good news is that with the release of AMD Ryzen 7000 less than 6 weeks away, you should be good to go! – If you would, incidentally, like to learn more about Alphacool, you can check out their official website via the link here!
What do you think? Are you looking forward to the release of Ryzen 7000? If so, do you plan to continue to use your existing cooler, and if so, do you know if it’s compatible or not? – Let us know in the comments!
