Liquid cooling manufacturer Alphacool is announcing the availability of the Aurora XPX RGB frame. This is specifically for adding RGB LEDs to Alphacool Eisblock XPX CPU blocks. Since Eisblock XPX blocks are made of glass acrylic and come in clear or satin finish, this is a simple solution for adding some personality to the build. Users do not even need a coloured coolant to change the colour scheme. Simply adjust the LED colour to the preference.
It uses standard 4-pin RGB headers which plug into most current motherboards. It is also compatible with Alphacool’s Aurora LED RGB controller cable and plugs in directly if the user does not have an RGB LED motherboard header.
The strip inside is 10mm wide with 15 LED pieces in total. Plus, it is analog so it is dimmable if the user prefers to do so. The outer seal is rubberized with strips of foam on the contacts, so it fits snugly and will not damage the glass acrylic block top.
The Aurora XPX RGB LED is now available via Aquatuning.de for €19.79 inc. VAT. The Eisblock XPX and Aurora LED RGB controller are sold separately for €74.79 and €11.79 respectively.
