Testing
[COLOR=#000000]General Use
For general usage we used the mouse in an office style environment with the bulk of the tests consisting of word processing, navigation, web browsing and moving files and folders from one area to another. We were listening for noise generated by the mouse sliding across the pad and also seeing how comfortable the mouse felt on the surface.
I’m quite sad to say that the noise generated by a mouse gliding across the surface was something of a nuisance. Once the supplied feet were attached, the noise was reduced a little but was still noticeable afterwards to a certain degree.
We tried more intense applications as the testing continued including Photoshop, which requires a degree of concentration and I found that the level of concentration was lost due to the annoyance of the noise which can only be described as scratching.
Gaming
As this mousepad is aimed at gamers (hence the name) we tried out some games, and whilst the precision was perfect and the way the mouse glided across the pad was smooth, all noise was cancelled out due to the audio from the game. Maybe alugraphics designer’s game with the volume turned up to 11.
