AM4 Still Not Dead With Ryzen 3 5100 Confirmed By Gigabyte

AM4 is still chugging along with another 5000 series CPU being revealed by GIGABYTE on the CPU Support page of their X570 AORUS XTREME.
Ryzen 5 5100 Spotted
This new AM4 CPU was first spotted by momomo_us on Twitter (via VideoCardz) within the Compatible CPUs list on GIGABYTE’s X570 AORUS XTREME motherboard. The new CPU in question is the Ryzen 3 5100, a 4C/8T chip based on the Cezanne architecture. The chip is said to feature a 3.8GHz clock speed with a boost of 4.2GHz with 2MB of L2 cache, 8MB of L3 cache and no onboard graphics. This leak comes not long after the Ryzen 7 5700, another Cezanne chip, which was also spotted on GIGABYTE’s website last month with 8C/16T and no iGPU.
More AM4 Options
Both the Ryzen 3 5100 and Ryzen 7 5700 processors were originally rumoured back in 2022 so their existence isn’t new however we do know of their existence. Currently, neither CPU has a listing on AMD’s website but if GIGABYTE is placing them on the support list then they can’t be far off. I’d imagine these could be OEM exclusive chips as well since I don’t see much value in them against some of the other chips, such as the Ryzen 5 5500 which is currently £88 for a 6 core processor. The Ryzen 3 4100 is the closest comparison we have to the 5100 and is currently priced at £59.99 so if it did release, i’d expect a £60+ price tag.
