Over the years we’ve certainly seen more than a few creative (and often crazy) ideas when it comes to ‘sleeper’ PC systems. Fortunately, in most instances, the madder ones typically don’t tend to go any further than the disturbed mind that thought them up in the first place. Following a video post by Reddit user ‘u/BFreezer‘ you’re going to have to make your own decision on this one as someone out there has created a PC system and used a portable gas stove as its somewhat unorthodox chassis.
Now, had I only heard about this on paper, I might’ve thought that this sounded both completely insane, and more so, totally impractical. – It seems, however, that against all the odds, this person has actually managed to put together a really stick PC system. – Most impressively is the fact that most of the original gas stove controls seem to actually work in terms of controlling the system and its RGB lighting.
If anything, most people just seem to be mildly disappointed that while the PC works, the gas elements have been removed. Albeit, some of the more amusing elements of the comments section have already suggested throwing an Nvidia 4090 and Intel i9-12900K into the mix to accommodate for the heating element of the design.
As noted above, when it comes to crazy custom PC ideas, the vast majority of them are excellent in principle, but terrible in terms of practical execution. For this portable gas stove design, however, you can definitely consider me impressed.
What do you think though? What’s the craziest custom PC design you’ve ever come across? – Pictures in the comments section or it didn’t happen!
