Amazon Basics Launch Their First CPU Cooler – But It Doesn’t Look Promising

Amazon Basics cover a wide variety of products from office supplies, home goods and tech accessories and generally, they are simple products at a ‘reasonable price’ with the Amazon name slapped on them. Now Amazon has added a CPU cooler to the lineup of Amazon Basics products at a low price of £20.
Amazon Basics CPU Cooler
This cooler, as the name suggests is small and basic and definitely won’t be cooling any 13900K’s and I doubt it’d be much better than a stock cooler from AMD or Intel so let’s look at the specs it’s offering on the product page which are again, basic. The cooler comes in at a size of 10.2 x 8.3 x 13.6 cm (L x W x H) and features 4 heat pipes and a quiet RGB PWM fan with speeds from 600 – 2000 RPM. The cooler also features compatibility for: LGA 1700, LGA 1200, LGA 1151, LGA 1150, LGA 1155, LGA 1156, AM4, and AM5.
Knock-Off Cooler Master Hyper 410R
So those of you who know your coolers may have realised that this Amazon Basics Cooler is very similar or even identical to the Cooler Master Hyper 410R. We shouldn’t be surprised by this though, as a lot of Amazon Basics and a lot of non-amazon branded products are often just the same product from one factory just given a different logo.
Good Budget Option?
If you’re looking for a budget cooler that looks a bit more stylish than a stock cooler then this might be perfect for you at £20 but there are some really good budget coolers out there that could have this thing beat for the price to performance, for example, the ID-COOLING SE-214-XT. Of course, I haven’t tested this cooler so I’m only going by eye for all we know it could be Noctua-level cooling but that’s just being silly.
If you have read this and decided this cooler is exactly what you need to cool your Intel i9 then you can view the Amazon Page Here.
