Amazon To Start Shipping Toy Catalogues

Christmas is coming. There, I said it! Yes, we might only be getting towards the middle of November, but you can’t deny the weather has taken a turn and everything is starting to get ready to ramp up for the seasonal holidays. As a child, one of the biggest pleasures in the lead-up to Christmas was flicking through a toy catalogue and making a highly-detailed list as to what I would like. It was a great pleasure as a child. I’d have the item, the catalogue number, the page, the price and even work out a rough budget alternative for ‘if I can’t have this, this will be a suitable alternative’.

With Toys R Us missing from the highstreets though, it’s going to be a bit tougher this year. Well, Amazon wants to look to fill the void. In a report via The Verge, the online retailer is going to begin shipping out ‘Christmas Toy Catalogues’.

Great Idea!

This is a great idea for both parents and children. With the magazine showing clear pictures of (what they expect to be) the hottest kids toys, you are also provided with QR codes. This should help parents quickly access them online and, of course, buy! Think about it. As a parent, you could do all of your kids Christmas shopping, all in one catalogue, and have it done within minutes! Maybe while sipping on a glass of a nice red wine. It certainly beats trudging up the high street in the cold, damp weather.

It’s unclear when the catalogues should arrive (or even if the UK will be included). The chances are, however, they should start arriving in the next few weeks to any Amazon registered customer.
