AMD Crimson ReLive 17.1.2 WHQL Drivers Released

Since committing to more frequent driver updates, AMD has largely kept their word. Every month usually comes with at least one major release and there have been times where we’ve gotten as many as 3. Following up on their 17.1.2 beta optional drivers last month, AMD has now released the WHQL version of the same drivers.
Last December, AMD released a major revamp to their driver package with the Crimson ReLive release. In addition to bringing with it a whole host of new features, it also introduced numerous bugs. 17.1.1 and 12.1.2 went part of the way to solving the issue but were beta optional drivers. With this 17.1.2 WHQL release, the goal appears to be to bring certified drivers with the fixes for organizations that only install WHQL drivers.
If AMD continues to keep to the release cadence, we can likely expect a new driver sometime in the next 2 weeks. Hopefully, that will bring some of the much-needed fixes along with it. You can find the original article on the 17.1.2 release here.
