AMD A10-7870K Godavari APU Review

Overclocking

Overclocking

Overclocking the AMD A10-7870K is a simple process and it shouldn’t take too long to determine a particular chip’s maximum frequency. At first, I set a target of 4.6GHz but it quickly became clear that this wasn’t achievable even with a hefty voltage rating. After reevaluating my expectations, I managed to achieve a stable 4.5GHz result by setting the multiplier to 45 and bus speed at 100MHz. Please note, the memory was configured using D.O.P.C to select the correct timings before manually adjusted the memory voltage to prevent sudden lock ups.
