AMD Radeon Adrenalin 22.2.1 – Game Ready for Dying Light 2

AMD has announced the launch of its latest Adrenalin 22.2.1 graphics card driver update and we daresay that you owners of Team Red GPUs will shortly be badgered by the app into making the update. – Is it worth your time and effort though? Well, if you plan to spend the weekend playing some ‘Dying Light 2’, or ‘Lost Ark’, then it definitely would seem to be in your best interest with game ready optimisations waiting to make your experience as silky smooth as possible!

AMD Radeon Adrenalin 22.2.1

Unlike many prior graphics card driver updates, this one is actually quite straight forward. It offers game ready support for ‘Dying Light 2’, ‘Lost Ark’, and… Yeah, that’s actually about it. – As part of the full update noted, however, AMD has confirmed the following:

Support For:

  • Dying Light 2™
  • Lost Ark™
  • Vulkan® 1.3 and Vulkan® Roadmap 2022. Click here for more information.

Fixed Issues

  • On some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon® RX 6700 XT Graphics, some users may observe flashing colored lights around their character when playing Fortnite™ using DirectX® 12.

Known Issues:

  • While playing Cyberpunk 2077™ on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon® RX 570 Graphics, some users may observe an issue where indoor areas appear darker than expected.
  • Stuttering or lower than expected FPS values may be experienced by some users while playing God of War on some AMD Graphics Products such as Radeon® RX 6900 XT Graphics.
  • Enhanced Sync may cause a black screen to occur when enabled on some games and system configurations. Any users who may be experiencing issues with Enhanced Sync enabled should disable it as a temporary workaround.
  • Radeon performance metrics and logging features may intermittently report extremely high and incorrect memory clock values.

Where Can I Get My Update?

As always, if you already have the AMD Adrenalin Edition app installed on your PC (which you certainly should if you have one of their graphics cards), then a quick check of it should now prompt you to download and update to this latest 22.2.1 driver release. However, if that doesn’t work, you can learn more (not that there’s much extra to glean from this relatively straight forward update), and/or manually download it via the link here!

What do you think? How often do you update your graphics card drivers? – Let us know in the comments!
