AMD has released their latest Adrenalin Edition driver 23.9.1 bringing in support for the new RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT alongside several new features for Radeon Graphics Cards.
Right away this update has been released to ensure that the new RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT graphics cards are ready for use once consumers start using them in their systems. Alongside this AMD has introduced Radeon Anti-Lag+, Radeon Boost and HYPR-RX.
Radeon Anti-Lag+ is a new technology that takes responsive gaming to the next level and introduces per-game profiling to intelligently pace frames to reduce input lag on RDNA 3-based Radeon GPUs. This technology will initially be supported in 12 games including Apex Legends, Overwatch 2, Dying Light 2, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Resident Evil 4, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Fortnite, Last of Us: Part 1, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, Resident Evil 3, and Borderlands 3. Throughout future driver updates other games will receive support for the technology.
Radeon Boost is a technology which improves image quality through awareness of mouse sensitivity by reducing the image quality impact of dynamic resolution switching during motion. This technology now supports AMD Radeon Anti-Lag+ and is supported in Resident Evil 4 Remake and Ghostwire: Tokyo.
AMD HYPR-RX is a new driver experience that allows users to optimize their games using AMD Software features for RDNA 3 GPUs. With this update, users are able to combine Radeon Anti-Lag+, Boost, and Radeon Super Resolution to achieve improved performance and latency reduction.
Alongside all of these new features, AMD has fixed an error message when selecting the Spatial sound format of “Dolby Atmos for home theatre”.
