AMD announce NEW RADEON HD 7770

After the huge success with the launch of the 6990 from AMD, Nvidia were hot on their tracks with the release of their dual GPU card; the GTX 590.

AMD not wanting to lose the market share for having “the fastest graphics card in the world” have decided to show their latest addition to the range by introducing a new series in the shape of the 7000 range of Radeons with the fastest single GPU card in the world; the Radeon HD 7770.

The card will feature well over 2000 shader units, an astounding 52 ROPs, using an unknown core but rumours have it that it will be called the Cuban core. Memory wise, we will see 6GB of GDDR6 on a 384-bit memory interface.

It has also leaked that the card should perform on par with dual GPU cards such as the 6990 and GTX 590.

Very few details are being released at this time but rumours of a price point of around £320 GBP is floating around the internet.
