AMD Confirm B650 & B650E AM5 Motherboard Showcase on October 4th

With AMD confirming the upcoming launch of their new Ryzen 7000 processors last month, and their subsequent release less than 2 weeks away now, it’s well known that their arrival will coincide with the initial drop of X670 motherboards on the new AM5 socket. – While other motherboards are, of course, on the way, however, it was still more than a little unclear as to when these lower/mid-tier designs would be launched with a lot of speculation pointing towards the early part of 2023.

Following an official announcement, however, AMD has confirmed an upcoming showcase event which will be used as a platform to launch B650 and B650E models with pretty much all major motherboard manufacturers set to take part!

AMD Confirms B650 and B650E Launch Event

As part of the announcement, AMD has said:

“Get the first look at the new AMD AM5 B650E and B650 motherboards, supporting the recently announced AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series processors. Bringing the power of DDR5 memory and PCIe® 5.0 technologies to bear, the AM5 platform introduces more performance, power, and possibilities than ever before.

In this webinar, join experts JJ Guerrero, Edwin Chiang, Michiel Berkhout, Kevin Shieh, and Anny Hsu. Learn about upcoming motherboards from partners such as ASRock, BIOSTAR, ASUS, MSI, and GIGABYTE, on how their AM5 motherboards introduce cutting-edge features to the market and unlock the full power of AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series processors.

What we’ll cover:

A sneak peek at Socket AM5 B650E and B650 motherboards. AM5 B650E and B650 motherboard lineup, specifications, and features from ASUS, GIGABYTE, ASRock, MSI, and BIOSTAR. How the Socket AM5 platform and AMD Ryzen™ 7000 Series processors deliver incredible performance.”

What Do We Expect?

Interest will, of course, be high as the BX50 platform has generally proven in the past to be the most accessible for consumers in terms of offering a solid balance of performance, compatibility, functionality, and cost. – What is of particular interest, however, is that a prior leak has strongly hinted that some AIB partners will be utilising the B650E (E for Extreme) as their main key flagship launched for overclocking enthusiast models.

In the past, this has nearly always fallen under the more premium XX70 models and it will, therefore, be interesting to see what makes B650E so appealing.

With the event set to kick off on October 4th, however, if you would like to learn more about it, you can check out the official registration website via the link here!
