AMD Delays Ryzen 7000 Release Date in an Attempt to Steal Intel’s Thunder?

The launch and subsequent release of AMD Ryzen 7000 have been so well rumoured since the start of the month that it’s not really a rumour anymore. AMD would announce their launch on August 29th with a subsequent release date of September 15th. – To use a popular Game of Thrones quote “it is known!”.

Is it actually known, though? Well, admittedly, AMD hasn’t given any kind of official rubber stamp to this, but even sources close to them all seem to agree that Ryzen 7000 processors would be hitting retailers on September 15th. That is… Until now!

Following a report via Videocardz, while the launch date of Ryzen 7000 (and, of course, their AM5 motherboards) is still apparently fixed for August 29th, AMD has apparently changed the release date to later in September, and, quite possibly, for a very cynical reason, that’s likely going to displease Intel!

AMD Moves Ryzen 7000 Release to Steal Intel Raptor Lake Thunder?

According to this new source, AMD has apparently shifted the release date of their Ryzen 7000 processors to September 27th (a delay of 2 weeks). – Why have they done this, though? Well, although no exact reasons have been given, it seems more than a little suspicious that this is the exact same date in which Intel is expected to host its Innovation event.

Why is this important? Well, putting things very bluntly, September 27th may be the very day that Intel will be launching (not releasing!) their new 13th-gen Raptor Lake processors, and also the day that AMD may be releasing their Ryzen 7000 CPUs.

And if this is true… Well, prepare for some metaphorical fireworks because it’s been a long time since such an obvious declaration of war between the CPU giants was made!
