AMD doubting Radeon memory sales?

Although it was reported not so long ago that AMD was entering the memory market, they aren’t planning on taking the long run.

Could these become unique?

Well that’s rather unexpected, as the recent Radeon memory modules were spotted in Japan and some in Canada, apparently these were inserted as a “test” to see if it would be a good investment for AMD to go into memory.

“AMD does not manufacture memory and does not plan to sell system memory directly to our customers. AMD is currently determining if the sale of AMD Radeon-branded memory through channel partners is a viable opportunity and as such it has appeared in some regions for purchase through retail.” said Dave Erskine, AMD spokesman

It is true that seeing the number of manufacturers of memory modules, it’s understandable that AMD is skeptical about its sales.
