I have to admit that over the last couple of weeks, I have been feeling more than a bit like a broken record. – There have been so many sources (good ones too) claiming that AMD was going to officially launch their Ryzen 7000 processors on August 29th that, at this point, it was hardly a rumour anymore at all!
It was perhaps more accurately described as a foregone conclusion simply waiting for Team Red’s rubber stamp! – So, for one last time, will the Ryzen 7000 CPUs be launching on August 29th? Well, following official confirmation, the answer is finally yes!
Yep, Team Red’s rubber stamp has officially come down!
AMD Ryzen 7000 to Launch August 29th
As part of the announcement, AMD has said:
“Chair and CEO Dr. Lisa Su, CTO and EVP Mark Papermaster, and other AMD executives will present details on the latest “Zen 4” architecture that powers upcoming AMD Ryzen™ processors and the all new AM5 platform built around the latest technologies including DDR5 and PCIe5, all designed to drive a new era of performance desktop PCs.
The show will premiere at 7 p.m. ET on Monday, August 29, on the AMD YouTube channel. A replay can be accessed a few hours after the conclusion of the event at AMD.com/Ryzen.”
And, just to save our UK community the legwork, the event will take place at midnight, so that’s 00:00 on August 30th. – So, if you want to keep your eyes open for that launch event (set to stream via YouTube) click on the link here!
