All we seem to be seeing lately is motherboards and processors at eTeknix. We seem to go through stages of seeing mass amounts of the same hardware. Early this year and around Christmas saw us looking at talking about graphics cards, left right and centre, whereas now we can’t stop discussing motherboards and processors, both from AMD and Intel.
This time we’re talking about AMD again and the FM1 socket which you may remember we saw up close and personal a little while ago which gave first indication into the socket and processor used. Today sees us expanding the zoom and taking a look at a whole board.
The general overall census seems to have this board as AMD A75 FCH based which couples the board with an active cooling solution, though retail could see passive thrown into the mix to keep up with the demand for quiet operation.
The board will feature USB 3.0 and array of different expansion slots including a PCI-Express x16 slot, two PCIe x4 slots, a legacy PCI slot and also a mini PCI-Express slot giving the user complete flexability over their components.
The board seems to use a 3+2 phase system but details are still unclear and a bit sketchy to confirm this but it all seems very interesting, even at this early stage.
