AMD has launched two more 32nm processors from its Bulldozer line of processors. The two new additions include the Six core FX-6200 and Quad core FX-4170 processors. They have also announced price reductions of the FX-8120 and FX-6100 as well.
The FX-6200 and FX-4170 as expected will both come in the AM3+ package with a hefty TDP of 125W each. There is 8MB of shared cache in both processors. The FX-6200 has a base clock of 3.8GHz stock and 4.1GHz turbo mode. The FX-6200 is currently listed for €152.70 on pre-order. The FX-4170 is an interesting one, the first processor to come ‘out-of-the-box’ at over 4GHz, with a stock speed of 4.2GHz and turbo of 4.3GHz its no wonder this chip as a TDP of 125W given what we’ve already seen from Bulldozer in terms of power consumption when you bump those frequencies up to the mid 4s. The FX-4170 is retailing for €120 here.
The updated FX-8120 and FX-6100 prices stand at $185 and $145, respectively. Even if you dislike Bulldozer, you can’t argue with some price cuts.
