AMD today launched a new series of APUs. They will be available in two different sockets FS1r2 PGA and FP2 BGA with two supporting chipsets the A70M and A75. There will be four dual core models and four quad core models. All will come with discrete class HD 7000 series graphics which AMD have been configured to support resolutions up to 4k by 2k. AMD is targeting these APUs for industrial and commercial use for things such as digital signage, casino gaming, point-of-sale systems and kiosks. AMD’s list of key features and benefits is below.
