Fantastic news, at least for those in Hong Kong as a boxed retail version of a Llano APU is seen in a store.
Our sources were able to snap pictures of the two quad-core APU’s branded as A6-3650 and A8-3850. As we know the A8-3850 will be the top quad-core CPU for the moment featuring a clock speed of 2.9GHz and build in GPU.
The boxes are bright red and show a masterpiece of artwork that displays the main features of the APU’s in terms of functionality.
They will run on socket FM1 and are due out in other retail channels very soon. If you search around, you will find them listed but showing as out of stock like the 3850 listed here for £104.99.
A release date is imminent and sales are expected to be high in numbers, so lets hope that AMD can keep up with the demand.
Be sure to keep checking back here when we’ll be looking at an A8-3850 APU with Asus FM1 board ourselves VERY soon.
