AMD Lowers Ryzen and Threadripper CPU Prices Up to 30%

Good news for those looking to build a new system. AMD has now officially lowered the prices of their Ryzen and Threadripper processors. This is not the flash discounts we saw leading up to Christmas. That was actually just AMD trying to gauge how lowering the prices will affect sales. This time it is permanent moving forward.
The new price structure excludes the top-end Threadripper 1950X and Threadripper 1920X. However, the Threadripper 1900X price is now officially 18.2% lower at $449 vs $549 USD.
Ryzen 3, 5 and 7 CPUs also see a similar reduction, with the Ryzen 7 1800X having the biggest discount at 30% off. It started off at $449 but is now only $349 USD. This is even lower than the Ryzen 7 1700X original SEP which was $399. Which is why the 1700X’ new price is now $309 USD.
New AMD CPU Prices
The rest of the new prices is on the list below. Interestingly, only the 4-core/4-thread Ryzen 3 1300X retains its original price at $129 USD. However, everything else in the Ryzen 3, 5 and 7 are now more affordable by quite a bit. The lower prices are actually now reflected in retail stores such as Amazon for example. This should help new system builders and those upgrading relax their budget a bit. Especially considering the current state of DRAM prices.
