Recently AMD launched a new RX 7900 graphics card with a new naming scheme of GRE, Golden Rabbit Edition, which was exclusive to China with some exceptions. New rumours have surfaced that AMD will be releasing another one of these GRE cards but for the previous generation RX 6750.
As reported by TomsHardware, a user by the name of Little Enemy Pigeon on Weibo has made the claim of a new RX 6750 GRE graphics card which is said to rival the 4060 Ti in performance. In a translated post they stated:
“Chatting with the boss of Yeston today, he said that Yeston is currently the only AIB authorized by AMD (ATI), and the only company in China. Then let us pay attention to the graphics card RX6750GRE (Golden Rabbit Upgrade Package), which is said to be the price of 4060 and the performance of 4060Ti.”
I will also follow up on the follow-up card A. The Yeston 6600 and 6400 models currently on sale are very stable, and the failure rate is very low.”
The RX 7900 GRE card was released exclusively with Sapphire, PowerColor and XFX though this card for now is exclusive with Yeston, a Chinese manufacturer. Additionally, with its 4060 Ti performance, it could feature a 4060 price tag of around $299 and in its exclusive China pricing, 2399 RMB. Details around how this card will differ from its XT counterpart aren’t clear but the current speculation is that the cards could be using a weakened Navi 21 GPU as opposed to the Navi 22 in the 6750 XT. This should provide slightly more performance and seems the only logical position for the card to be in as the RX 6750 XT already competes closely with the 4060 Ti.
With AMD expected to reveal the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT at Gamescom, this card could also see some form of a reveal but if it’s a Chinese exclusive I wouldn’t count on it.
