AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Processor
Everest FPU Benchmark Results
FPU Julia
This benchmark measures the single precision (also known as 32-bit) floating-point performance through the computation of several frames of the popular “Julia” fractal.
The i7 950 came out on top on this test, but only just. Considering the i7 950 has 8 virtual cores essentially, we’re not majorly surprised by this, but as you can see, the 1100T didn’t fall too far behind.
FPU Mandel
This benchmark measures the double precision (also known as 64-bit) floating-point performance through the computation of several frames of the popular “Mandelbrot” fractal.
The 1100T picked up the slack here and gave some clear indications of the performance over the Intel CPU.
FPU SinJulia
This benchmark measures the extended precision (also known as 80-bit) floating-point performance through the computation of a single frame of a modified “Julia” fractal.
In this test, the i7 came out on top by quite a fraction, but 1100T still performed well in 2nd place.
190 doesn`t sound so bad for that 3.6 turbo speed. but when we`ll see stock speed from AMD at least 3.8 at this price then i`ll consider it 🙂
why not make stable 4 point 0 😀 GHz CPU? Naah Whole pace gathered by the competition between Intel and AMD is good for prices of older models. But what with multi threaded apps? You pay for the 6cores and only few of apps can take advantage of it? That's why i'm using x2 low power CPU in my HTPC. Am I wrong when i will say that i can count those apps with all my fingers ? BTW 190Ł holy smokey! that's almost whole my computer price 😀
I bet you can clock that up even higher, but still, any 6 core processor is beast. I love AMD processors, so cheaply sold which makes it good for people like me. Great review, thank you.
