AMD preparing unlocked desktop Llano

After the initial success of Llano, AMD is quickly trying to build on it, with a proposed quad-core desktop Llano, the A8-3870. Unlike the current fastet A8-series quad-core, the 3870 will feature an unlocked multiplier.
The new A8-3870 is rumoured to have a slightly faster clock at 3.1 GHz while the graphics part will remain the same using the Radeon HD 6550D. The Radeoon HD 6550D is clocked at 600 MHz and features 400 stream processors, while the APU will support dual-channel DDR3-1866 MHz memory.
The A8-3850 and A6-3650 are currently plagued by a minor bug that allows you to raise the clock multiplier, but it doesn’t have any effect. Whereas the A8-3870 will have a true unlocked multiplier and will certainly allow for some extra CPU power and even more extended overclocking potential.
The A8-3870 is scheduled for release in Q4 2011 but no confirmed details.
