With AMD set to host a keynote speech at Computex 2021 on June 1st, although there is absolutely no confirmation of what is going to be discussed or revealed, we have an extreme suspicion that the event will be used as a showcase for the launch of both the 6600 and 6600 XT graphics cards. Admittedly, while this is not written in stone, with the sheer number of leaks and information surrounding them over the last couple of months, this honestly leaves very little else open. Although, we are always open to being surprised.
Well, just in case you wanted something that seemingly adds a bit more validity to the above, following a Twitter post by user ‘@Broly_X1‘, an image has appeared online that many are assuming (including ourselves, we should note) to be the reference version of the 6600 XT.
While we should note that the words ‘6600 XT’ are not shown anywhere in the image below (although you’re free to scrutinise it yourself), what has garnered interest is the clearly visible ‘AMD Navi 23XT’ and ‘8GB’ VRAM configuration. Put simply, these are the exact specifications (chipset/memory) the 6600 XT is expected to have and, while this is indeed just apparently a reference version, it does seem that the graphics cards are out there in the wild already.
While AMD will almost certainly discuss other aspects of their technology at their Computex 2021 keynote address (likely something to do with laptops), we would be very surprised if this wasn’t the platform that officially rubber-stamped the upcoming consumer release of the 6600 and 6600 XT. With just a little over a week until that kicks off though, rest assured we’ll be ready to bring you confirmation of all the latest AMD tech and announcements!
