We have seen more than a few references over recent weeks that despite the lack of any official announcement from AMD (yet) both the Radeon RX 6600 and 6600 XT graphics cards will be launched within the very near future. However, if you did require some further confirmation of that fact, then it seems that a deep dive within their latest GPU drivers may have just given us a huge hint.
Following a report via Videocardz, a deep drive within the latest AMD graphics card drivers has spotted references made to both the Radeon RX 6600 and XT graphics cards. While these are not yet apparently supported (although there is no way to confirm that one way or the other), this is perhaps our best indication yet that a launch event for both of these GPUs is literally just on the horizon. – Did you happen to notice a few references made in there to seemingly some mobile (laptops) products on the way too?…
Albeit, Gigabyte’s EEC registration of 6 different models earlier this week was also a pretty strong indicator of that too.
As above, there is still nothing official from AMD yet regarding either of these graphics card releases. Make no bones about it though, we all know they’re coming. It’s simply a matter of when. In that regard, though, all we can say is that based on the growing evidence we’re getting at the moment, we’d be amazed if both these GPUs were not at least confirmed before the end of next month.
Rest assured though, as soon as our samples arrive we’ll be primed to get them tested and reviewed to tell you exactly what we think about them!
