AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT/7900 XTX Release Stock Rumoured to Be “Extremely Low”
Mike Sanders / 2 years ago
With the AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and 7900 XTX set for release today, interest in these graphics cards is undoubtedly high. Particularly so since the current 40XX offerings from Nvidia (while impressive in terms of performance) are notably more expensive in MSRP terms. – With that being said, however, while both of AMD’s upcoming GPUs definitely seem to already have the attention of consumers, it seems that actually getting hold of one might be problematic.
Why? Well, following a Twitter post by reliable leak source ‘@harukaze5719‘, they have said that initial stock levels of both the 7900 XT and 7900 XTX are “extremely low”.
Also, they shared about RX 7900 series stock.

Accoring to QSZ, early stock is extremely low. And we can see AIB model end of Q4.

In addition to this news about stock levels being low, they also echo prior leaks suggesting that AIB partner custom models will not arrive until much later in the month. Now, we have heard that some AIB models will be available for the December 13th release date, but at the moment it seems only PowerColor and Sapphire will have their 7900 XT and 7900 XTX designs ready for retailers.
Putting all this together though, this might ultimately explain why the initial stock of graphics cards will be so poor. Namely, because only AMD’s reference designs will be predominantly available. – So, I guess the overwhelming advice is that if you want a 7900 XT or 7900 XTX, get in early because the chances are that stock levels might be a little shaky until at least the end of January.
