On the whole where do we say this staggering set of results leave us? Well when we take the pure simplicity of setting up the configuration both from and installation point of view and enabling CrossFire, for the novice user is no harder than installing one card.  Right the way through the tests the cards were scaling at a rate of as near makes no difference the full 2x. On top of this we saw the biggest surprise of the cards not only doubling but going past that and giving 250% the performance of a single 7750 during Eyefinity resolutions in Formula1 2011.

Normally when we look at the cost implications of buying more than one card for a CrossFire setup, the costs generally make us wonder if its more cost effective to buy a higher specification of card in their place and this is not just on the cost of the actual cards but also the power requirements that are needed by the system.  What we find here is that going by the guide prices of the 7750, you can easily get yourself a pair of cards for just over £200 that push past the performance to past that of a 6850 and in some cases the 6950 as well.

As you will notice, we took the 7900 series cards out of the charts as we knew from the start that either way they would still be in a completely different league to the the 7750 in CrossFire and we wanted to show how the cards scaled in comparison to a single cards and also single cards from the 6000 series that retail for around the same value.

We have to really take our hats off to AMD here, as we’ve already found from the individual reviews that the 7750 is an impressive entry level card, but for two of them to outperform some of higher level cards is outstanding, and if the retailers realise this and decide to offer two cards together in a bundle then we will soon the the everyday user being able to configure CrossFire as easily as they can get to our site.
