Another key feature of all AMD RX 2XX series GPUs is support for the tiled resources of Direct X 11.2. AMD’s RX 2XX series all have hardware level support for this new Direct X API.
The AMD R9 2XX series, which is what most of our readers care about, is underpinned by five key pillars for AMD (pictured below). First is helping to drive more advanced console games with AMD GCN GPUs and developer partnerships, this will bring positive spillover effects to the PC.
