AMD Releases Radeon ReLive 17.11.4 Hotfix Driver

In keeping with their current strategy of quick updates, AMD is releasing yet another update for their Radeon ReLive drivers. The 4th update this month, 17.11.4 is another hotfix beta optional driver. Unlike 17.11.3 which was just for the RX Vega lineup, the new driver works for the entire lineup of still support GPUs. AMD probably wanted 17.11.4 to be 17.11.3 until the Vega bug forced an earlier update.

The biggest updates are support for Oculus Dash Open Beta and DOOM VFR. As always, it is good to see AMD push out quick support for new major titles. The list of fixes is much short this time which is no surprise given the quick turnaround. Star Wars Battlefront II gets a fix for system hang when using Crossfire while RX Vega gets fixes for HBCC stability and GPU monitoring information accuracy.

AMD Radeon ReLive 17.11.4 Contains Few Fixes

In terms of known issues, nothing has really changed. The only known issue removed is the Radeon RX Vega HBCC adjustment will no longer cause system instability. Other than that, the list of  known issues is the same as with 17.11.3.  Its unlikely that we will be getting another driver until December unless something major crops up. AMD will likely address many of these issues with 17.12.1.

Next up is the rumoured Radeon ReLive Redux driver. Set to release in December, the reports suggest a major revamp for Radeon Software. AMD has been keeping to a one year major update cycle and this year should be the same. The headline feature is reportedly an OSD for performance and system monitoring. Either way, we won’t have long to wait until AMD drops the update on us next month. You can find the full Radeon ReLive 17.11.4 release notes and downloads here.
