Ray Tracing & DLSS
One area where the 7600 should perform better is in Ray Tracing and upscaling based tests and it’s here where we see Ray Tracing performance actually coming in around the same level as the RX 6700, albeit by 1 FPS, though the 1% lows were also slightly stronger. Compared to the RX 6600, we did see an uplift in Ray Tracing performance of 36% but was still somewhat unplayable to a degree.
In Cyberpunk, the 7600 lost a whopping 83% frames when enabling Ray Tracing performance which keeps it in line with the RX 6650 and 21% ahead of the RX 6600. Enabling FSR did increase the performance by a staggering 170% but at just 46 FPS, it’s nothing to write home about as it’s still not a nice experience to play.
In Spider-Man, again we saw a HUGE hit of around 70% when enabling Ray Tracing, taking it down to an unplayable 36 FPS which was actually 10% lower than the RX 6600, and while FSR did bring the figures back up slightly, the RX 6600 still managed to get ahead by 16% and frankly the game looked awful due to the jagged textures and edges.
Then lastly, in Watch Dogs: Legion, Ray Tracing again took a massive 64% hit in performance which only sees an uplift of 6% over the RX 6600.
