The Microsoft Flight Simulator Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition celebrates all the positive feedback, reviews and awards garnered, but it is also a “Thank You” to our fans – new and old – that have made Microsoft Flight Simulator such a phenomenon. Best of all, the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game of the Year Edition will be available as a free update for existing players on PC.
Available now on Steam.
Microsoft Flight Sim sees some terrible numbers across the board, but we’ve come to expect that from such a demanding game though we do still see an increase in performance from the last generation of just 7%. I honestly wasn’t expecting much here, but I guess anything is welcomed.
1440p is more like it, now with the 7700 XT coming in 41% faster that its older brother, and also coming in very close again to the RTX 4070, and in a turn up for the books, matching the performance of the other newest RDNA3 based GPU, the 7800 XT.
4K isn’t really worth commenting on, as unless you’re rocking the best of the best, with an X3D CPU or willing to use frame generation, you’re going to struggle, though I will say that the 7700 XT positions itself exactly where we’d expect.
