Moving over to Control and at 1080p we again see some good numbers, with the 7800 XT packing 38% more performance compared to the previous gen, which puts it close the the RTX 4070 and 6800 XT, trailing behind by just 3% which isn’t bad considering its cost.
The gains keep on coming at 1440p where the newer RDNA3 GPU comes in with 35% more performance compared to its older brother, the 6700 XT and again this puts it close to the RTX 4070, sitting behind by just 6% which when comparing the cost difference of the 4070 coming in 33% more expensive, it’s all looking good for team red.
Then at 4K the 7700 XT gives us another 40% more performance up from the last generation, and again puts it within the realms of playable framerates, with a little bit of tweaking to the settings. Again it falls just behind the RTX 4070, but puts up a strong fight along the way.
