The Microsoft Flight Simulator Game of the Year (GOTY) Edition celebrates all the positive feedback, reviews and awards garnered, but it is also a “Thank You” to our fans – new and old – that have made Microsoft Flight Simulator such a phenomenon. Best of all, the Microsoft Flight Simulator Game of the Year Edition will be available as a free update for existing players on PC.

Microsoft Flight Sim at 1440p gave some very similar results on all GPUs tested due to the severe bottleneck that our CPU provides at this resolution.
Then even at 4K, it’s clear to see that some form of bottleneck does occur, and the only real way of getting around it, is by utilising upscaling technology in addition to the likes of the 5800X3D processor from AMD.
AMD pulled an Nvidia: in the same way that nobody wants the 4080 over 4090 nobody wants the xt over xtx – awful prices from team red- they copy Ngridia a little too much. Wasn’t chiplets supposed to be cheaper?
