On the 7900 XT, temperatures remained pretty consistent throughout our testing, with a GPU temperature that sat around 64 to 65 degrees. The memory junction temperature hit the low 90s but didn’t seem to deviate away from that. The GPU core clock saw levels hitting around 2350MHz but for the most part, sat at 2270MHz with 100% GPU usage. Power-wise, the card was consistently sitting at 309 Watts with the fan speed remaining pretty reasonable at 1750 RPM.
The 7900 XTX saw some pretty good figures in terms of the temperatures too, with the GPU rising to around 66 degrees, while the memory junction temperature constantly sat around the same 90 degrees. In terms of the GPU core clock, we had instances where it hovered around 2400MHz with 100% GPU utilization and during this, the total board power did rise to around 345 Watts, with the fans remaining pretty quiet at 1700 RPM.
