AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT & 7900 XTX Unboxing

AMD is finally ready to throw some fresh hardware into the endless battle between Nvidia and AMD for gaming dominance, sure Intel is part of the rumble these days too, but it’s fair to say they’ve got a way to go before they compete on a higher level. While it’s pretty much known at this point that the Nvidia RTX 4090 series will retain its performance crown, all but the dozens of people who can afford such a monstrosity of rendering performance don’t really give much of a damn. The RTX 4080 is a bit more in the realm of realism but AMD is coming in with some very appealing prices and hardware with their new GPUs and that could seriously shift the balance in the market over the next few months.
AMD is talking about reference cards in the realm of $899 for the RX 7900 XT and $999 for the RX 7900 XTX. Which in some cases is nearly half that of the flagship Nvidia cards. Of course, overclocked models from their partner brands such as MSI and ASUS, to name but a few, will of course push that price higher but that’s true of any GPU launch; you pay more, you get more.
RDNA 3 is really looking set to bring some impressive performance per watt figures, and more so when it comes to price-to-performance ratios. Of course, we’re not allowed to talk about performance figures and benchmarks today, but that’s certainly soon to follow. Today is all about build quality and aesthetics, so let’s get to it!
