AMD Radeon VII 7nm Graphics Card Review

Power Consumption

Predictably, the card burns coal, despite its 7nm design. AMD have never really got the grips of efficiency, but at least they’re turnings Watts into FPS with this card, so that’s commendable. It’s barely using more power than a VEGA 64, but damn, is it a lot faster!

Temperatures

It’s not exactly cool at 68.7c, but honestly, the temperatures are far better than expected and nothing to complain about.

Acoustics

It is the second loudest card we’ve tested though, albeit on par with the also damn noisy 2080 Ti we tested. If you care about silence, this isn’t the card for you. Although, I think this card deserves to be under a water block and you’ll have a lot to gain by doing so.

Peter Donnell

As a child still in my 30's (but not for long), I spend my day combining my love of music and movies with a life-long passion for gaming, from arcade classics and retro consoles to the latest high-end PC and console games. So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
